Eric and Blakely - Cousins and Buddies!

The Beach at Luddington

Jeff and the Boys - he was showing them where Capt. Doug salmon fishes...No they can't wait to take Daddy's boat in Lake Michigan!

Typical family photo... LOL

The Luddington Lighthouse

I love that he wrote his name in the sand...

Maddison - the Frune Dog Puppy - FDP

Just a little excited over the fireworks display!

Cheese!

God - I love this kid!  He just knows how to make me smile!

Being silly with Dad - Love it!!

Shrine of the Pines museum in Baldwin

Even the boys enjoyed the museum - it was all furniture made out of White Pine tree roots - made without power tools or nails.  It was really quite amazing and I think even the boys were impressed!

Gramma Ginny from Shrine of the Pines - Super sweet lady!

Water for Elephants Book Review

Wow!  This book had me hooked and I couldn't put it down.  When I had to, I couldn't wait to pick it back up again.  It catches your interest instantly and leaves you wanting more.  My only complaint is that I wanted more!  The Characters were amazingly written and Sara Gruen did a fantastic job at making you fall in love with the characters.  It was a super quick and fun read.  Definitely one for your "to read" pile!  Four STARS!!

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

This will be the first year I've not spent going house to house for Thanksgiving Dinner(s).  I'm not sure how I feel about that statement.  I'm a little bummed that there won't be that buzz of family excitement - with all the kids running around and checking out the papers for Fridays sales; on the other hand - It's gonna be Just Me...Plus 3!
Just me and my boys (and of course Maddison).  I went shopping and bought a small turkey breast, a box of instant potatoes, some stovetop stuffing, a meijer pumpkin pie and a can of corn!  Our Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Up North - in the middle of the woods.  It will be one with some of the best memories I'm sure!

Boyisms

Cute things the boys said in the last week:

1. Gregory - Mom, you got some age on you!
2. Eric: I ask "What are you thankful for?" Eric, " I am thankful for deer, fish and turkey to eat."
3. Gregory - (who has been watching Beauty and the Beast everyday and is obsessed with Gaston) asks me, "Mom, do you think that I have biceps to spare?"
4. Eric: having to do homework  he has to write two things that he can do.  He writes  *catch fish and *give good hugs.
5. Gregory - we're at the Parade on Saturday and Gregory gets a huge handful of candy for a cute little girl about his age and he says, "That's the girl I've got my eye on, that's the one I'm gonna Marry!"

They so crack me up!

Anyone wanna win a FREE SuperHero Cape?!!

I am so excited!!  I get to do my very first giveaway!!  PowerCapes (thanks Justin - my one awesome boss) is sponsoring my first Giveaway - as soon as I reach 25 followers!!  As the winner, you will get to chose a custom superhero cape of your own choice *sidekick size*.  Most of you know that after 8 years of mostly being a stay at home mom, I've started a new adventure and the the next chapter of my life working for PowerCapes - a team of Moms, Dads and me (a customer service superhero), Web Ninjas and Passionate People who have dedicated their live to helping kids be real Superheroes!  Holly Bartman (my other awesome boss) started this business as a way to provide children with personalized superhero capes, and has become the #1 destination for authentic superhero wear for kids (and adults too!)  One of the other things that I absolutely love about working for the amazing company is their dedication to giving back to the community.  They are a huge supporter of Heart Heroes - an organization that provides capes for children with heart defects.  We also have some pretty awesome things in the works for Autism Awareness Month in April!!  All in all - I think that I've found a fantastic fit for me and my family!  :-)
